Our computerised prescription system allows you to have prescriptions for regular medication without seeing your doctor up to the limit that the doctor has authorised. To obtain a prescription please send, or leave, your repeat prescription slip marked with the medication you require to reception.
Your prescription will normally be ready for collection after two full working days. If you would like your prescription sent in the post, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope and allow time for postage. If you would like your prescription to go to the local chemist at Whitleigh Green, then please mark the slip with a C.
In line with the Department of Health recommendations, you will only receive one or two months supply of any medication with each prescription. All prescriptions are issued generically and not by the pharmaceutical trade name.
It will be necessary to see your doctor from time to time to review your medication. This will be decided by the doctor and will show on your repeat slip. Please make an appointment for review of your medication with your own doctor, wherever possible.
Repeat prescription requests are not taken during consultations. There is a box in the entrance porch for dropping off prescriptions.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
From 1st September 2018 we will no longer be accepting telephone prescription requests. You can order online, by post or in person. Please let us know the chemist of your choice for sending your request to. This will go electronically.
